Ego — Website Redesign

One of the UK's Fastest Growing Fashion Retailers

Website design for online trend-led sassy footwear brand Ego

Ego contacted us with the intention of improving the user experience of their current website. With over 1.3 million monthly visitors it was important we listened to their issues and worked collaboratively with their team to make sure our goals were aligned. We delivered a full new website for desktop, mobile and tablet, focusing on conversion and making the new site feel more high-end.

Finding out what worked and what didn't

Before we started the design phase of this project, we ran a full UX evaluation over the existing website to find any pain points that could be harming conversion. With over 1.3 million monthly visitors we also felt it was important to make sure the website was optimised for accessibility and adhered to the WCAG guidelines, not only does this make the website more inclusive to a wider audience, it also improves the SEO.

Building a conversion-led checkout

A major part of the brief was to develop a brand new checkout experience. Considering we were working in a highly competitive industry, it was massively important that the checkout process competed with many of the other big named brands. The checkout had to be easy, quick and instilled with trust throughout.
